| The Turner County Council on Child Abuse was formed to promote and implement child abuse prevention efforts at the local level. These efforts involve distributing educational materials on parenting and child abuse prevention, as well as, providing parenting classes and training for community professionals and local leaders. The Council also communicates with elected officials at the local, state, and national levels to advocate for programs and policies that support children and families. TCCCA has formed a coalition with Turner County Connection to promote safe children and healthy families in Turner County through a partnership in grant applications and resource allocation. The Council also is an active participant in various community events such as the Fire Ant Festival and the Health Fair. | ||||||
